Over the years, watering systems have evolved, from simple tools like bowls and buckets to sophisticated irrigation systems. Yet, the ubiquitous watering can remains central to home gardening due to its versatility.
This reimagined design takes into account the common strain caused by lifting and carrying conventional watering cans. Pot Coulissant introduces an innovative shoulder-strap system to make watering easier, minimizing strain and optimizing movement. The aesthetic design complements this functionality, giving the can a sleek, elegant look without compromising on usability.
During the development process, key aspects of the design were carefully reconsidered and refined. The handle of Pot Coulissant has been shifted approximately 25% to the side for better balance during use. This horizontal handle placement at the back of the can provides optimal weight distribution when held, making it easier to carry and pour. Additionally, the spout has been relocated about 35% towards the opposite side, enhancing the flow of water and creating a more intuitive handling experience.
The water tank itself has been calibrated to hold around 9 liters, offering a practical capacity without becoming too heavy. The edges of the tank have been smoothed with a 1 cm radius, giving the can a modern, refined silhouette. The spout extends slightly over 60 cm, with a 3 cm diameter that allows for efficient water flow and pressure control. Small ridges near the tip of the spout prevent the nozzle from detaching during use, ensuring consistent and controlled water release.
