Design
The storage of objects, such as clothing, books, artifacts or precious trophies, is an essential part of our society. At the latest since mankind has evolved from collectors and hunters to sedentary peoples, possession or the storage of goods has become an important part of our everyday lives. Over time, chests, barrels, cupboards and shelves were created in which people could store things in an orderly fashion. Although there is a wide range of storage options nowadays, nevertheless, corresponding solutions for offices are usually very monotonous and boring in appearance.
To remedy this, modern manufacturing methods and materials were studied and tested to design a modular and futuristic shelf.
Während die Böden aus soliden Platten fabriziert sind, besteht das Gehäuse aus einem auf ein Minimum reduziertes hoch stabiles Streben Netz. Das äussere Gehäuse des Regals besteht aus einer Eloxierten Magnesiumlegierung und hat Regalböden aus Hochglanz poliertem Edelstahl. Diese Kombination aus Materialien sorgt für ein schlichtes, elegantes Auftreten, zudem ist damit jedes einzelne Regalteil in sich stabil und korrodiert nicht. Das offene und reflektierende Design des Regals führt zu einer repräsentative Darstellung der aufbewahrten Gegenstände. Das entstandene Regal Empilée bietet zudem Modularität, die durch drei verschiedene Höhen des Regals mit gleichbleibendem Grundriss geboten werden.While the shelves are made of solid plates, the housing consists of a highly stable strut net reduced to a minimum. This combination of materials provides a sleek, elegant appearance, plus it makes each shelf piece inherently strong and non-corrosive. The open and reflective design of the shelf leads to a prestigious display of the stored items. The resulting shelf Empilée also offers modularity, which are offered by three different heights of the shelf with a constant floor plan.
